Christen Killebrew (Mermaid Pearl) discovered the world of Mermaiding in 2021 when she was doing research on ways to improve her own physical and mental wellness. She found that the benefits of being a Mermaid exceeded her expectations and so she sought out to learn everything she could about the art of Mermaiding, freediving, environmental advocacy, performing for parties and training others to do the same in a safe and supportive environment. Christen has been active in the central Texas Mermaid Community attending and performing at events such as: The Annual San Marcos Mermaid Festival & A Very Merry Jarrell Christmas Community. She has also been featured in local publications such as The Georgetown View, The Liberty Hill Digest and My Jarrell Monthly for her community impact. She also performs at corporate events, private gatherings and parties by request for both children and adults. When Mermaid Pearl isn’t busy swimming, training or showing up for pictures with her human friends , she enjoys nature, and spending time with the people she loves most; her children, husband and friends.
